What is an allergy?🤧
An allergy is a special kind of inflammation, when our immune system reacts strongly to certain external factors. Allergic symptoms are, in principle, already established in the body beforehand, and will not stop as long as the body is in contact with a particular allergen. These days the number of people with allergies tends to grow because of a greater number of allergens, and perhaps we should look for the answer in our diet, environmental pollution, increased and wrongly channelled stress, and our way of life. The more we rid ourselves of these causes, the more our quality of life will improve. The gut flora also plays an important role in this, because it is significant for our immune system.
Spring and summer are the seasons when we all want to spend as much time as possible outdoors and enjoy the sun and fine weather, but for many people the fun outdoors can be spoiled by the symptoms of seasonal allergies. Pollen from grass, various plants and trees causes sneezing, watery eyes, coughing, itching, reduced ability to work, headaches and a general drop in quality of life.
How can we help ourselves?💪
It is a good idea, for instance, to get rid of carpets, old pillows and dust on the furniture, and while we have symptoms it does not hurt to keep pets out of our living space. It is worth making changes to our diet too: cutting out sugar and avoiding processed foods, gluten and dairy products, as they play a part in intensifying symptoms. Where possible, we should use fresh fruit and vegetables in our cooked meals and enrich our table with as many salads as we can, especially green ones, because chlorophyll reduces inflammation. On top of all this, it is not a bad idea to use dietary supplements such as green grain juice to balance our immune system. Enzymes, vitamins, detoxifying the body, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques can also help a great deal.
Let's take a big step towards coming into balance with nature. 🌳💐
