"Da li živite da bi jeli, ili jedete da bi živeli?"

We begin this blog with a wise quote that has not lost its meaning even with the passing of time.
As Hippocrates says, the answer lies in Food.

If we pause for a moment on the word FOOD, we immediately see its point. Food is nourishment that is meant to feed our body. In today's fast-paced world, where obesity is one of the greatest risk factors and most people suffer from various modern-day illnesses, we ought to give a little thought to everything we eat in the course of a day. Did we eat so as not to be hungry, or were we led by our everyday habits, or did we listen to what our body actually needs? Our body suffers from eating fast food; from it we get quick energy that is quickly lost, and it's true that for a while afterwards we aren't hungry – but the question is whether we have thereby met our body's needs as well. Fast-food options often have a high calorie value but do not provide us with lasting energy; what is more, before long hunger stirs in us again. The body asks once more, in the hope that this time it will get something for its immune needs too. Raw food, salads, sprouts and cold-pressed juices hold within them a whole treasury of nutrients. When it comes to providing better-quality energy, we needn't burden ourselves too much: if we ate just an apple or a carrot for a snack, it would likewise postpone our need for lunch, and our body would be more content, too. We often say we don't have time for that, but the essence lies in our habits. Bad habits tell us we don't need it, and then we wonder why we are more and more tired from one day to the next, why we are troubled by bloating or a drop in concentration. Raw drinks and fresh salads replenish our depleted stores of deposited nutrients. By boiling and frying, we destroy the vitamins in foods that are sensitive to heat treatment.

We don't want to tell you to change everything from today and switch exclusively to living food; that decision isn't ours, and we respect it if all this is foreign to you. We would rather say that those who most often eat fast, boiled and fried food would do well to try adding some living food to their daily menu as well. Living food offers the possibility of a better life. In nature there are essential vitamins and minerals, enzymes and amino acids that are well absorbed. Plants are in balance; every microgram of nutrient can find its place and fulfil its function.

If you are not sure whether you really want changes to your diet but you know you want more energy, you are already on the right track. In that spirit, we would like to add a little more essential health for your body. We warmly recommend that you take a look at our Spelta Vita Instant or Energy product, a 100% natural dietary supplement with the same values as cold-pressed spelt-wheat grass juice (of organic origin). And we know that on that day we have already given our body something nutritious, even if we didn't manage anything else essential. If you want change, we are here to support you with these wonderful living drinks. And to return to the start of the blog: how much, and in what form, of vitamins and minerals is worth using? Nature has convinced us, because we received living energy. And we leave everyone free to make their own decisions.
