How is essentially any illness cured?

Kako se leči u osnovi bilo koja bolest?

Illness is a term used to describe a disturbance of the normal processes in the body, that is, the improper functioning of the body’s vital processes as a reaction to external or internal stimuli of a mechanical, physico-chemical, biological or psychological nature.

It is hard to define the boundary of the “normal” in a biological process, and so there is no absolute line between health and illness.

Illness represents a change in the rhythm of life; as a rule it hinders, and often even threatens, the survival of a biological organism, or leads to death.

Health and illness are relative concepts that denote the balance of bodily functions and forms arising from the successful adaptation of the human body to the environment in which it lives. Health is a harmonious balance in the structure and functions of the body and in psychological experience, which is the condition for full working ability and thus for the full enjoyment of life. Illness is a disturbance of that harmonious balance, with reduced working ability, lowered enjoyment of life and mental burdens. Even the healthiest person in the world is surely ill to some degree, but likewise even the sickest person, while alive, carries reserves of health within.

The modern concept of health indicates that it consists of the biopsychosocial components of the individual and the ecological-social components of their environment. Through their activities, a person changes their surroundings, but at the same time they themselves change too.

By changing our habits we can improve our state of health.

What to pay attention to:
1.Mind what kind of water you drink

There are 500 kinds of water. Running water is healthier than bottled water. If you do drink bottled water, choose the kind in glass packaging. Over time, plastic releases carcinogenic substances. Never refill plastic bottles with water.

2.Avoid direct contact with chemical substances

Certain chemicals used for cleaning are not at all harmless. Some studies show that they can cause liver or kidney cancer, as well as leukaemia. Although these are not large amounts of dangerous ingredients, they can linger in clothing, and that is not good. Wash your clothes yourself and with as few chemical additives as possible.
3.Prepare meat dishes properly

Meat that is overcooked contains carcinogenic components. Meat prepared on a grill and cooked for a long time is especially dangerous. To avoid the potential dangers, marinate it first. It is best to marinate the meat at least two hours before cooking, using rosemary and thyme. These two herbs have been proven to reduce the impact of harmful components.

4.Do not neglect physical activity

Many scientific studies have shown and proven that physical activity prevents the development of various kinds of malignancies and other serious diseases, and some more recent ones say that regular walking and running significantly reduces the chances of developing breast cancer.

5.In your diet, eat green vegetables as often as possible: lettuce, broccoli, chard
Always choose the ones with a darker green colour. Such vegetables contain more chlorophyll, which gives them that colour, but also more magnesium, which reduces the risk of colon cancer in women, strengthens immunity and prevents the development of carcinogenic cells.

6.Eat nuts: walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds … because they contain substances such as selenium, which protect cells from the harmful action of free radicals and also strengthen immunity.

The Brazil nut is an excellent source of selenium, an antioxidant that reduces the risk of bladder cancer in women, research shows. Other studies have shown that people with a high selenium content in their blood have lower death rates from lung cancer and colon cancer.

7.Mind how long you talk on your mobile phone

Some more recent studies link mobile phone use with brain cancer, but there is still no concrete proof. In any case, avoid longer calls.

If some illness does appear, keep in mind that it is never too late to take certain measures that will restore your lost health.
